Choosing an analytics platform for DevLog

Now that we're starting to get more users, we want to have some basic insight as to where they're coming from. At the same time we want to maintain privacy, so we don't want to use Google Analytics or anything else that tracks individual users. We'll probably have to hunt a bit for that.


Not only is privacy good for our users, it also lets us avoid annoying popups :)

This article was an interesting read. We might be their new customer.


Done! That was easy.

This will give us some basic stats without actually tracking individual users. But I was hoping they'd have a backend component. I would feel a bit better tracking that way than relying on JavaScript.

But this should be good for now. Let's see how it goes.
